The origins of Valley Forge Consulting Corporation (VFCC) trace back to the early 1970's. At that time, the consulting activities centered around the recently passed Professional Corporation Enabling Acts which allowed professionals to incorporate their practices in order to take advantage of the many tax and fringe benefit opportunities not otherwise available. The most significant of these advantages was the ability to establish a qualified retirement plan.
This consulting activity grew to the point where it was appropriate for VFIC to create an operating subsidiary called Valley Forge Consulting Corporation. The incorporation of Valley Forge Consulting Corporation occurred in April, 1974. After the passage of ERISA in 1974, the operation and administration of qualified retirement plans required even greater expertise than was necessary in the pre-ERISA environment. During the next several years, the number of consulting engagements increased dramatically, and they continued to be primarily by professional corporations during the 1970's.
In 1985 VF Investment Services Corp. was created to respond to the growing complexities and demanding nature of successful asset management. The principles of VF Investment Services Corp. utilized their extensive knowledge of pension funding and investments to guide clients through the maze of investment alternatives.
